New Product: Tera's Whey

Apple Wellness is excited to welcome a brand new product into our store!

Tera's Whey is a line of natural whey protein. It is a locally made and manufactured product, and the whey comes from Madison area cheese and dairy farmers. Apple Wellness is a member of the Dane Buy Local business group and we believe in supporting our local economy. Healthy Recipe: Week 5

Gluten Free Banana Bread

Adapted from Special Diet Solutions by Carol Fenster

Apple Wellness has an entire gluten free section! We carry yummy gluten free recipe mixes, gluten free flour, chocolate chips, frozen dinners, and more! This recipe is for a delicious gluten free banana bread.

*1/3 cup Canola oil

2/3 cup brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

*1 tsp vanilla

*1 3/4 cup Gluten Free All Purpose Baking Flour

*2 tsp baking powder

*1 1/4 tsp cinnamon

*1 tsp xanthan gum

*1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 cups banana, mashed

*1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped

*1/2 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 350˚. Grease 9"x15" non-stick loaf pan. Cream together oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in large bowl. Add flour, xanthan gum, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon to egg mixture, alternating with bananas. Beat until smooth. Stir in nuts and raisins. Batter will be somewhat soft. Transfer to pan. Bake for 1 hour. Serves 10.
